Title: Infrastructure Manager
Location: Can be located in Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO, or Austin, TX
Duration: Contract-to-Hire
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US.
Key Points:
- This position will be managing a team of System Administrators on an M&A team.
- It will require travel up to 50% across the US.
- Candidates can be based out of the Atlanta, Denver, or Austin area.
- It will still be a hands-on management position, with heavy work in the Microsoft stack.
Overview:
The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of System Administrators to design, deploy, and manage technologies including Windows Server, Azure Active Directory, Hybrid Exchange, Email security platforms, Server monitoring, Virtual Server management, Network routing & switching, Cloud Technology (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), Microsoft M365 suite and administration, and Microsoft Security. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in a management role, and includes hands-on work.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of System Administrators, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development.
- Ensure the team delivers high-quality support and project implementation in a timely manner.
- Conduct performance evaluations and handle any personnel issues.
- Oversee the deployment and management of infrastructure solutions both on-premise and in cloud environments.
- Lead and participate in system initiatives and new projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide Tier I - Tier III support for all infrastructure systems and resolve escalated support tickets.
- Collaborate with IT staff to determine specific needs and implement appropriate technical solutions.
- Analyze and resolve network-related issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
- Design and configure new systems and technology, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and independently resolve complex technical issues.
- Conduct after-hours maintenance as needed to minimize disruption to operations.
- Travel to newly acquired sites for discovery and implementation, as necessary.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Proven experience with Microsoft technology, services, and support.
- Strong expertise in Azure-based technology, including Azure AD, Intune, M365, etc.
- Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages preferred.
- In-depth understanding of corporate networking and systems infrastructure, including MPLS, VPN, network connectivity, Internet access, exchange, servers, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical problems concisely and professionally to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
