RMC is hiring for a Senior Systems Administrator to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer in Port Hueneme, CA. Position is contingent of successful award of contract.

Responsibilities include{{:}}
- Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity.
- Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
- Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues
- Provide technical direction to IT support staff
- Ensure constant availability of technical resources
- Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety
- Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of Cisco layer 2 and layer 3 Infrastructure experience
- Minimum of five years of Firewall, IDS, and/or IPS administration and configuration experience
- Experience with cabling management
- Minimum of five years securing a Cisco environment in accordance with DISA STIGs
- Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent required
- Security Clearance{{:}} An Interim DoD Secret Clearance is required to start. Personnel may be required to obtain and maintain a TS clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Preferred Skills
- Master's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
- Advanced Cyber Certification - GSLC; CISSP; CISM; CAP; CASP
- Minimum of five years of experience with scoping, architecture, and design of new network infrastructure, including cryptographic and long haul requirements
