Job Summary: The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of Shamrck, leading the development of innovative products and solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of our technology strategy. This individual will oversee all technical aspects of the company, manage the engineering team, and work closely with other executive leaders to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Define and implement Shamrck's technical strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Lead the development and deployment of innovative technologies and solutions.
Oversee all technical operations, including software development, infrastructure, and data analytics.
Data Science Integration:
Apply advanced data science techniques to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights.
Develop predictive models and algorithms to enhance product offerings and improve decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into products and services.
Full Stack Development:
Lead and contribute to developing full-stack applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Oversee both front-end and back-end development processes and integration.
Ensure the scalability, security, and robustness of all technical solutions.
Team Management:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of engineers and data scientists.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Ensure the team adheres to best practices in software development, data science, and full-stack development.
Strategic Planning:
Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute long-term technology and product roadmaps.
Identify emerging technologies and trends that can drive business growth and competitive advantage.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to support business development and strategic partnerships.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Manage risks and resolve technical challenges as they arise.
Innovation and Research:
Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
Lead research and development efforts to create new products and improve existing ones.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science and technology.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior technical leadership role, preferably as a CTO or similar position.
- Strong background in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
- Extensive experience in full stack development, including front-end and back-end technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React, Angular, Node.js.
- Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing engineering and data science teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in the talent pipeline development or education technology sector is highly desirable.
Compensation: This is an equity-only position. Compensation will be provided in the form of equity in the company until a funding round is completed, with significant potential for future financial growth and rewards as Shamrck succeeds.
