Position: Director of IT
Job Description
The Director of IT will be an internal business partner to all our corporate and field employees supporting and growing our business. We are looking for a Director of IT to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. They will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs as well as lead the set-up of all new devices for employees and new locations. The Director of IT will provide guidance on security needs as well as ideas on how to move our business forward.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Organize and maintain the company SharePoint site, creating permissions for new and existing users as the needs of the company evolve
- Diagnose hardware and software issues for users both remotely and in-person when applicable
- Set up Office 365 users when an offer is accepted by corporate employees
- Purchase and manage inventory of IT equipment to have items on hand for new hires
- Configure laptop for new hires to install necessary apps and create remote admin access to assist users remotely when needed
- Configure iPads for new and existing sites for security and uniformity
- Run regular checks on network and data security, make improvements to the infrastructure as needed
- Prepare training material for staff as new products are introduced
- Manage and report allocation of IT budget
- Implement IT policy and SOPs for the organization
- Maintain company phone system, assigning numbers and extensions for new users and sites.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex technical issues and have strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Set up new Team Members with company equipment, in office or remote.
- Other duties as needed by CEO and Corporate Team
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of (5) years of experience in a Director level information technology role
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint with experience assigning permissions and creating user groups
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office licenses and admin roles
- Experience managing IT equipment and keeping accurate inventory counts
- Advanced understanding of IT security
- SharePoint Certification preferred
- Knowledge of, Intune, Azure / Entra, Copilot for Microsoft 365
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information technology
