We are looking for a Co-Founder CTO to help scale Lemio's global operations and execute the product vision using the full power of today's tools, including AI and and Apple APIs (Screen Time, Parental Control, Device Activity).
Introduction to Lemio
Lemio is a mobile app for ambitious people that helps them reduce screen time and manage their attention.
We do this by blocking apps in moments of distraction and helping users overcome the mental and emotional frictions that get in the way of useful and healthy alternatives (such as side jobs, learning, exercise, etc.).
Lemio has been live on the App Store since January 2024 and is available worldwide.
Responsibilities include
- Mobile app development and maintenance (now iOS built in Swift, Android in the future)
- Leverage the iOS Screen Time API, Parental Controls, Shortcut Automation and Device Activity API
- Finding cutting-edge tech hacks around Apple's very restrictive/limited nature ;)
- Building and A/B testing new features
- Retention tracking in Mixpanel (and/or other tools) + deriving improvement suggestions from this data
- Staffing and financial planning for the technology department
- Planning software architecture
- Manage a technology team, review code and provide direction
- Project management and business analysis (for macro direction)
- Keeping costs down and improving operational efficiency through automation and tools
- Developing our artificial intelligence direction for Lemio
- Ensure speed of development through methodologies (e.g. Scrum)

Job Requirements
- Must have a track record of developing technology in startups and achieving an exit.
- Must have an interest in health, wellness, offline activities and self-improvement.
- Must have launched and maintained apps on the App Store. Big plus if you have built B2C or B2B web applications.
- Must have built and managed a team of >5 people.
- Senior experience, but young enough mindset to encourage innovation and take calculated risks where necessary
- Work-till-it's-done-mentality.
- A keen eye for design to maintain consistency with the company ethos and brand.
- Big plus: a pulse on AI, experience with generative tools and APIs, and foresight on the direction of AI.
Compensation
- Equity: tbd in contract negotiations.
- Salary: There will be no salary until the app produces revenue.
- Purpose: This is a high impact project that aims to solve one of the biggest problems.
- Flexibility: Async-first. No 60 minute meetings. Quick 1:1 syncs instead. We use Around, Slack, Loom & Clickup. We are based in Munich and Prague and build the business remotely. So you can work from anywhere in the world (EU & East Cost time zones preferred).
