β¨The core mission of the BDR Lead role:
We are seeking a visionary BDR Lead to enhance the efficiency of our sales department, focusing on the prospecting stage of the sales funnel. Your mission will involve optimizing prospecting by implementing advanced technical tools and generating insightful HubSpot reports, coaching and mentoring a small team of 3 BDRs, and assisting an Enterprise AE in building and managing their sales pipeline.
πΊ The fellowship you'll be joining:
Reporting to the SVP of Revenue, you will work closely with 3 BDRs to introduce and excite them about innovative technologies and new methodologies, support the Enterprise AE in prospecting efforts, and engage with the SVP of Revenue to discuss new technologies, showcase results, and drive internal change.

- Optimize Sales Prospecting: Implement and manage advanced technical tools to enhance the efficiency of the prospecting process
- Generate HubSpot Reports: Create and analyze insightful HubSpot reports to inform strategy and decision-making
- Team Leadership: Coach and mentor a team of 3 BDRs, fostering their professional growth and development
- Pipeline Support: Assist the Enterprise AE in building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline
- Collaborate with SVP of Revenue: Regularly discuss new technologies, showcase performance results, and drive internal changes to improve sales processes
- Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate the performance of BDRs and the effectiveness of implemented tools and strategies
π Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of BDR Lead at Hack The Box:
- Experience in BDR role, within a SaaS business. Proven track record in sales
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of sales tools and technologies, particularly HubSpot
- Leadership Skills: We are looking for a genuine interest in coaching and developing people, and leading a team. The actual experience will be less important.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in generating and interpreting sales reports and data to drive strategic decisions
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work closely with senior management, sales teams, and other departments to drive efficiency and change
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and results
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies and methodologies in a dynamic sales environment

πΊοΈ The Quest of Becoming Hack The Box's BDR Lead
- Level 1: Like in any game, you start as a Noob. Level one's objective: submit your application
- Level 2: After applying, you unlock the Script Kiddie rank! This level's objective: submit your video interview (15'), while completing a short 8' online personality assessment
- Level 3: Now you're officially ranked as Hacker and you're ready to meet the Talent Acquisition team. Level's objective: complete two online assessments, highlight your past achievements, ambitions, and values during a virtual interview
- Level 4: As a Pro-Hacker at level 4, you'll unlock the "boss level", which involves meeting the hiring manager. Level's objective: connect with the hiring manager and share with them your achievements.
- Level 5: Now you're an Elite Hacker! Level's objective: complete an assignment that aligns with day-to-day job-related tasks and responsibilities
- Level 6: Congratulations, you're now a Guru! Not many reach this level πͺ. Level's objective: have a constructive, final conversation with senior leadership to explore the role and your future at HTB.
- Level 7: You've achieved the Omniscient rank and officially received an offer from HTB! To complete the last level and the Quest, all you need to do is accept the offer.
