Job Description: Advanced understanding of LOB technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices and Client policies
- Advanced knowledge in the following key areas:
- Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations)
- Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management)
- Design (compliance, security)
- Network Engineering (planning, provision)
- Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology
- Advanced understanding of best practices and Client policies
- Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
- Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms
- Must be able to assemble technology solutions and effectively define and implement a working architecture
Technical certifications as required
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Expertise with Fiber Channel SAN technologies namely VMAX, VNX, Client 3par, Cisco & Brocade
- Hands on experience managing Isilon and CDOT file storage. Expertise with planning and implementing NAS migration at large scale
- Hands-on experience with decommission process of all the above SAN and File storage
- Expertise in managing all kinds/levels of incidents and refresh related work in FC technologies
- Expert knowledge and hands-on in managing SRDF and any other array-based replications
- Expertise with Fabric refresh planning/execution/cutover process in both Cisco & Brocade
- Experience and hands-on in building new arrays and fabric switches from scratch adhering to all the standards.
- Expertise knowledge on host based/SRDF migrations array migrations including setting up host-based ACL’s
- Expertise to perform all patch/code installations and upgrades in all the above array and fabric models
- Experience supporting Broadcom Brocade G620, G720, 7840 – department class and Gen 6 and Gen 7 – director class switches
- Experience planning, architecting, and implementing large scale fabric migrations
- Advanced knowledge of Performance and Capacity management for Block and File storage
- Knowledge of IP based Block storage – Solidfire, ScaleIO, Powerflex will be a plus
- Basic UNIX management skills
- Software development experience in at least one general purpose programming language : Python, Java, C, C++, Go, Shell scripting will be a plus
