The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, systems security, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure services internally and with external service providers. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational needs, systems security, and industry regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities necessary to accomplish job functions)
- Assists with technical issues in the initiation, planning, and maintenance phases of IT projects, including those involved with integrating new acquisitions into the organization’s IT infrastructure to include:
- The definition of needs, benefits, technical strategy, research & development within the project life cycle
- Technical analysis and design
- Support of operations staff in executing, testing, and rolling-out solutions
- Participation on projects with a focus on smoothing the transition of projects from development to production by performing operations activities within project life cycle
- Perform systems administration and support including all technical & clerical duties.
- Performs systems administration and support for information security systems and controls.
- Handles information and communication systems' issues that arise from the use of the information systems.
- Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and records related to system installation & maintenance.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
- Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.

- Minimum ten (10) years of work experience in a medical information systems position, required.
