What You'll Do
Seeking a detail-oriented information Security professional with experience assessing Third-party Security Risk to join the info sec organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to review and evaluate vendor submitted questionnaires and supporting documentation to identify uncontrolled potential third party security risk. This role is also responsible for helping to ensure compliance with information security legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of information security frameworks and controls, common information technology principles, experience evaluating vendor security risk, coupled with analytical skills and attention to detail, and extensive experience in financial services.
Responsibilities
What we are looking for:
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of vendor submitted material which can include SOC reports, certifications, policies, procedures, etc. to assess compliance with WAB’s information security requirements.
- Identify and document information security gaps in vendor documentation and request additional documentation through the vendor management process.
- Capability to lead conversations with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards, best practices, and suggest remediation for gaps in cyber security.
- Reporting on vendor security reviews, volume, status etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, or a related field or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience conducting vendor security assessments, risk consulting experience, or other risk assessment experience.
- Practical recent experience with information security frameworks, such as ISO 27001/2 NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, SIG, FFIEC CAT, etc.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information security documentation and apply them to practical scenarios.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven technical writing and communication skills with the ability to work independently and to collaborate with others.
- Industry, including cloud, certifications (CISA, CRISC, CISM, GCP, Azure, etc.) preferred but not required. Consulting experience preferred but not required.
