Overview:
My client, a leading global provider of intelligent automated solutions, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Engineering to join their executive team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a talented engineering organization and drive the development of innovative solutions that shape the future of intralogistics and supply chain automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with the company’s vision, business objectives, and market needs. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all engineering teams.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse, high-performing engineering team. Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent, ensuring a strong pipeline of skills and leadership within the department.
- Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end engineering lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment and maintenance. Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that meet customer needs and exceed industry standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other executives and departments, including Product Management, Operations, and Sales, to align engineering priorities with business goals and customer expectations. Act as a key technical advisor and provide strategic insights to drive business growth.
- Innovation and Technology: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends. Drive the adoption of cutting-edge tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance the company’s competitive edge and technological leadership.
- Operational Excellence: Establish and maintain robust processes, metrics, and governance to ensure engineering excellence, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role, ideally within the intralogistics, supply chain, automation, or related industries.
- Strong track record of leading large, complex engineering organizations through transformation and growth.
- Deep expertise in engineering principles, product development, and technology trends relevant to automation and intralogistics.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
