Job Description:
As an IT Security Analyst, you will support the management of Cyber Security by analyzing and recommending mitigations for events and incidents identified in various tools and networks. You will employ industry best practices and processes for daily monitoring and analysis of potential cyber security events. This role involves triaging and remediating security alerts, ensuring compliance with security policies, participating in incident response, and executing processes to address vulnerabilities. You will also perform vulnerability scans, report writing, and collaborate professionally with internal and external contacts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support management of Cyber Security by analyzing and recommending mitigations for incidents identified in tools such as CrowdStrike, Qualys, and Varonis.
- Utilize business intelligence tools for report writing.
- Employ industry best practices and processes for monitoring and analyzing potential cyber security events.
- Triage security alerts promptly, remediate level 1 and level 2 alerts, and escalate as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with corporate security policies and practices.
- Participate in incident response, audit log review, and consult on information security issues.
- Conduct penetration tests and present monitoring/test results and reports.
- Perform vulnerability scans using tools like Qualys and implement technical solutions to address vulnerability findings.
- Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Experience with C# programming language.
- Experience with .NET Framework.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Understanding and experience with all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
