NYS Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a
Cloud Engineer Expert
Day to Day task include:
- Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot a large Microsoft Office 365 government cloud tenant in hybrid mode with an on-premises Exchange environment and other systems such as Active Directory, desktop, web, and mobile clients.
- Provide technical support to users and specialists, including off-hours and on-call support.
- Support Microsoft Office 365 compliance controls like DLP and RMS.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and problem tickets, analyzing and resolving technical issues in the on-premises Exchange environment and Office 365 tenant.
- Configure and troubleshoot Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and Defender.
- Administer, report on, and monitor Microsoft Exchange systems using Exchange tools, PowerShell, SCOM, and Splunk.
- Administer and monitor Exchange Active Sync services and assist with mobile device issues.
- Schedule, plan, and perform system upgrades, including testing, rollback procedures, and risk analysis for email and related services.
- Set up and maintain agency domains, including migrating users and data, troubleshooting, and modifying DNS records as needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot the listserv environment, including users and distribution lists.
- Communicate effectively through verbal and written means, fostering productive working relationships across organizational boundaries.
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months of experience in designing, building, maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange in a resource forest model with other disciplines such as Active Directory and desktop, web and mobile clients.
- 84 months of experience working with companies or agencies to migrate mail systems from Exchange 2003-2016, Novell GroupWise or Lotus Notes to a consolidated Microsoft Office 365/Exchange hybrid platform using integrated or 3rd party tools.
- 36 months of supporting Microsoft Office 365 compliance controls such as DLP and RMS.
- 84 months of experience responding to trouble tickets, analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems as they arise both in the on premises Exchange environment and in the Office 365 tenant.
- 42 months of experience configuring and troubleshooting Exchange Online Protection (EOP).
- 84 months of experience Installing, configuring, administering, reporting on, and monitoring Microsoft Exchange / Office 365 systems and objects. Using Exchange tools, remote PowerShell, and other scripting languages.
- 72 months of experience Monitoring tools including but not limited to MOM/SCOM, and UnitySync version 2 or higher.
- 72 months of experience installing, configuring, administering, monitoring Exchange Active Sync services providing assistance with mobile iron enabled devices.
- 84 months of experience scheduling, planning, and performing system upgrades, including testing, rollback procedures and risk analysis for email and all related services.
- 72 months experience with Office 365 in hybrid mode with an on-premises Exchange 2013, 2016 or 2019 environment.
Work hours and location:
- Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
- Daily hours are negotiable between 7:30 - 5:00. Weekly 7x24 off hours support on a rotational staff schedule is required
