Position Overview
The Director of Product Development will be a key leader in our product strategy and execution, overseeing the development of innovative and market-leading products. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep experience in product management, cross-functional team leadership, and a track record of successful product launches. The Director will drive the product development lifecycle from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the product development strategy, aligning with the company's overall vision and business objectives.
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of product managers, designers, and engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product development process, including ideation, design, development, testing, and launch.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, engineering, and customer support teams to ensure product alignment and successful go-to-market strategies.
- Project Management: Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, utilizing project management best practices and tools.
- Customer Focus: Gather and analyze customer feedback to drive product improvements and ensure user satisfaction.
- Innovation: Champion a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative solutions and staying ahead of industry trends.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in product development or product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
