Role Overview :
Sagitec is seeking a talented and motivated IT Security Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. As an IT Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's systems and data from cybersecurity threats. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for cybersecurity and a desire to contribute to the development and implementation of effective security measures.
Responsibilities:
-Manage user accounts and access controls, ensuring access is granted based on the principle of least privilege and conducting regular reviews to update permissions.
-Coordinate with other members of the security team to ensure that security measures are integrated into the overall security posture of the organization.
-Assist in maintaining documentation related to security policies, procedures, and incident response, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
-Participate in security-related projects, such as implementing new security tools or upgrading existing infrastructure, under the guidance of senior team members.
-Configure and maintain security-related software such as anti-malware software, host intrusion prevention systems, and data loss prevention tools, following established protocols and best practices.
-Provide support and assistance to other members of the organization on security-related topics, offering guidance and recommendations as needed.
-Monitor security alerts and incidents, assisting in the analysis of security data and logs for anomalies and potential threats.
-Provide support for security tools and technologies, troubleshooting issues and ensuring their effective operation.
-Assist in ensuring that servers, workstations, and network devices are securely configured and patched in a timely manner to mitigate vulnerabilities.
-Collaborate with security analysts, engineers, and other teams to implement security measures consistently across the organization.
-Assist in conducting regular vulnerability scans of corporate and client networks, systems, and applications, and assist in analyzing results to identify and prioritize security weaknesses.
-Work with system owners and IT teams to ensure timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities and assist in coordinating the deployment of patches across the environment.
-Assist in performing risk assessments to evaluate the potential impact of vulnerabilities on the organization and contribute to the development of appropriate mitigation strategies.
-Stay informed about the latest threats and vulnerabilities by monitoring threat intelligence sources and assist in implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks.
-Assist in preparing reports and documentation demonstrating compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to risk management strategies and best practices.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
-3-4 years of experience in IT Security or related role.
-Sec+, SSCP, CHFI, ECIH Certifications.
-Working Knowledge and experience in a variety of toolset such as EDR/XDR, SIEM, IDS/IPS, Endpoint solutions, Vulnerability Management, DLP, Cloud Computing (Azure, AWS, GCP), and Incident Response.
-Experience with BPMN and UI prototype creation.
-Proven ability to define task plans, manage time effectively across simultaneous project activities, and meet target deadlines.
-Drives assigned tasks to completion within target deadlines.
-Approaches tasks in an analytical manner and focuses on defining a solution to address root causes.
-Experience with multiple implementation methodologies (e.g., AGILE, waterfall).
-Understanding of entity relationships and data structures.
-Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to clearly articulate technical solutions to non-technical staff.
-Proven ability to manage the client expectations.
-Experience in facilitating meetings and presenting to technical and non-technical staff.
-A collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a team environment, but also self-motivated to produce results with minimal direction.
-Ability to form working relationships with groups of people from varied backgrounds, experience, and education levels.
Compensation and Benefits:
