The Global Security Organization provides industry-leading cyber-security and business protection services to TikTok globally. Our organization employs four principles that guide our strategic and tactical operations. In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office for 2 to 3 days a week, as directed by their manager. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be a direct report to the GSO Content Assurance Lead with a focus on the Content Assurance and Data Defense teams' programs. As part of the team, you'll drive the end-to-end delivery and ongoing operations of highly technical projects that enable cross-functional security and privacy at TikTok.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical strategy and management for all Content Assurance and Data Defense programs, which include cross-functional security projects across multiple organizations, to implement programs that meet the organization's Information Security standards, business and regulatory requirements
- Deliver operational security services and solutions which include but are not limited to: Program Management, Vendor Management, Policy and Compliance Management, Data Discovery scanning activities and remediation, Security Monitoring, Access Controls, and other traditional security disciplines
- Executive leadership communications (provide appropriate updates/recommendations regarding organization's security posture) and reporting (prepare and present high-level security reports that clearly and effectively communicate the organization's security status, significant risks/issues, and business implications of security metrics)
- Stakeholder management and work-stream coordination across disciplines and diverse regions/work cultures (present complex security concepts and situations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and comprehensible manner)
- Project planning (create and maintain project plans and roadmaps in accordance with organizational priorities, define delivery methodologies and drive project execution) and tracking (manage various collaboration tools and dashboards to ensure accurate and timely status updates on project execution)
- Assemble and direct integrated teams with the appropriate skills for successful execution and delivery (including subject matter experts, project sponsors, and operational resources across multiple internal and contractor teams)
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Significant program development experience in some or all of the following: AI/ML, Security Operations, Governance Risk and Compliance, Data Security/Protection, Data Science, Software Engineering
- Proven ownership and accountability in driving and overseeing multiple complex and cross-functional technical programs from initiation to delivery at scale
- Capability to operate autonomously and lead multiple teams with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones (experience working for a company with a global footprint preferred)
- Detailed analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems and datasets
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and thought leadership, and capacity to adapt and thrive in fast-paced work environments with rapidly shifting landscapes and priorities
- Certified with Project Management Professional (PMP) or relevant certifications preferred
- Certified with Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of technical program management experience of varying seniority, including managing teams

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $147200 - $269800 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
