Network Administrator (Ruckus Fastlron & Extreme Wireless experience required!) – 100% ONSITE IN COLUMBIA, SC.
SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Network Administrator with extensive expertise in LAN, WAN, and Ruckus FastIron & Extreme Wireless network equipment.
Required Qualifications of the Network Administrator:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Must be able to be ONSITE in Columbia, SC every day.
- COMPLETED Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- Experience with:
- Ruckus (Prev. Brocade) Network Management
- Active Directory Management
- Group Policy Object Management
- Windows Server Management
- Linux Server Management
- Microsoft Entra Id
- Wireless Network Management
- Experience Leading Team Of Network Administrators
- Vlan Management
- Experience With LAN and WA equipment which should Include Routers, Switches, Cabling, and Troubleshooting Of Physical Layer. (Related Certifications A+ Plus)
Responsibilities of the Network Administrator:
- Defines project objectives and scope by reviewing project proposal to determine time frame, available funding, procedures, and various phases of project life cycle for IT Services related projects.
- Configure and manage software and hardware for LANs and WANs, with a particular emphasis on Ruckus FastIron and Extreme Wireless network equipment.
- Supporting the client’s information security efforts by implementing best practices to safeguard data from intrusion, loss, and corruption.
- Direct the activities of a team of network administrators.
- Configure and install switches for the internal network and ensure the optimal performance and reliability of the statewide network.
- Monitor network activity to maintain peak performance, manage the installation and maintenance of circuits to remote county offices, and oversee the agency’s virtual servers.
- Manage Office 365 tenant including Entra and Intune. Ensuring critical files are backed up. On call to address any major networking issues as they occur.
