Job Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our Information Technology Division at the Town of Snowmass Village. This is a senior leadership role that requires a visionary leader capable of driving technological innovation and fostering collaborative partnerships across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
As the CTO, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Directing and overseeing IT support systems encompassing infrastructure, security, application development, public safety, business operations, customer support, and geographic information systems (GIS).
- Crafting and implementing IT policies and services while providing strategic guidance for planning and budget development in collaboration with various departments.
- Managing and mentoring the IT Division staff and contracted services, ensuring effective scheduling, task assignments, and professional growth initiatives.
- Partnering with management, clients, and IT personnel to evaluate the feasibility and impact of new technology projects, making informed recommendations for execution.
- Leading the creation and implementation of a comprehensive IT systems strategy, ensuring operational continuity and the establishment of technology standards.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards concerning information privacy, transparency, and retention, in conjunction with the Town Manager’s Office and legal counsel.
- Overseeing the annual budget for the division, participating in financial forecasting, and monitoring expenditures.
- Coordinating and evaluating work plans for IT supervisors, identifying areas for process optimization and addressing challenges.
Required Skills

Qualifications
The ideal applicant will have:
- At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in information technology systems management, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory role.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology systems, or a related discipline.
- PMP Certification is advantageous, though not mandatory.
- An openness to considering different combinations of education and experience that meet the essential criteria.

Compensation And Benefits
- Position Range: \(47.64—\)69.08 USD
- Hiring Range: \(47.64—\)58.36 USD
