Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Orlando, FL that is seeking a Senior System Administrator. Summary: The Senior Systems Administrator is the primary contact responsible for complex installation/configuration, operation, maintenance, monitoring, and protection of the infrastructure supporting our restaurant systems. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and known best practices. The Senior System Administrator participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the restaurant teams, ensuring technical processes are deployed in a sustainable and efficient manner. Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain an enterprise-wide solutions for multiple operating systems including Red Hat Linux and Windows
- Build, maintain, and deploy standardized, current images of various Operating Systems on multiple HW platforms
- Use vendor specific management tools to support remote HW platforms
- Proactively monitors a production infrastructure environment to ensure continued availability of the systems and services
- Provide 3rd level support for the Service Desk and Restaurant Support teams via the resolution of escalated application, operating system, deployment, and hardware issues
- Document installation and configuration procedures
- Participate in multiple projects in a fast paced environment
- Support and monitor highly available solutions
- Completes maintenance and support actions for Linux and Microsoft technologies
- Develops processes to increase efficiency and automate regular maintenance of support actions
- Identifies and resolves problems with the restaurant environment
- Assists Infrastructure team with testing and implementation of new software releases
- Provides on-call support
Requirements
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience with at least 3 years in an IT role focusing relevant enterprise technologies
- 3 years of experience with OS imaging, maintenance, and deployment
- 3 years of experience with various SW deployment methodologies
- 1 year of experience focused on Enterprise Monitoring technologies
- 1 year of experience with virtualization configuration, support, deployment
- Strong knowledge of the enterprise operating systems administration for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft technologies
- Proven track record of being actively sought out by other team members for their technical advice
- Strong knowledge of the enterprise configuration management tools like Red Hat Insights, Ansible, Satellite, Prometheus, Grafana, Podman, Quay, Active Directory Group Policy
- Knowledge of Container deployment and Devops Lifecycle Practices
- Knowledge of core Infrastructure services and functions (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, etc.)
- Experience managing and querying databases
- Proficient with system performance measuring and monitoring
- Proficient with web servers, web customization, and encryption
- Proficient with automation through scripting
- Strong understanding of networking infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN) and protocols (TCP/IP)
- Experience in working with formal Patch Management and Change Control Systems
- Experience with BI tools and creating reports
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Ability to solve problems involving remote and elusive symptoms often spanning multiple environments in a business area
- Ability to be a team player; flexible, friendly, congenial and enthusiastic, willingness to do whatever it takes to complete assignments on time with quality
- Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; Ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitments to tasks
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
