In this role, the Senior Product Manager will collaborate closely with the Senior Director of Product Management to drive A10’s DDoS protection solution for Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). Acting as both an inbound and outbound product manager, your focus will be on the product's evolution. You will work with sales and customers to define the product roadmap and partner with engineering to ensure effective execution. Additionally, you will conduct market research to understand future customer needs, analyze competitors, identify trends and economic signals, and document requirements and strategic insertion points for A10. This involves exploring the architectures and commonalities between CSPs and Service Providers to establish a cohesive product roadmap, emphasizing emerging trends such as AI and identifying areas for innovation and differentiation.
You will be responsible for driving top-line revenue for the DDoS product line, working closely with sales and marketing to enhance product adoption. Developing and presenting A10’s DDoS product strategy to customers, you will serve as an advocate for the A10 portfolio.
Effective communication is essential, both internally and externally, with active participation in go-to-market (GTM) activities. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Acquire and maintain subject matter expertise in the DDoS protection solution
- Create and manage a detailed product roadmap with a 12-18 month outlook, collaborating with customers and sales teams to define product requirements
- Proactively engage with CSP and SP customers to identify common themes for new product development
- Research architecture and security trends in CSPs to align A10’s roadmap
- Present A10’s CSP and SP DDoS strategy to customers
- Drive efforts to increase top-line revenue and product adoption for the DDoS product line
- Coordinate with the A10 GTM organization to enhance product adoption
- Conduct market and competitive research to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of product management experience
- Strong understanding of the full product life cycle, from inception to phase-out and transition to new products
- Background in DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF), threat intelligence, or related cybersecurity areas
- High-level understanding of CSP and SP security architectures
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in presenting to both internal and external audiences
- Strong business acumen with a proven track record in growing top-line revenue
Bonus Qualifications
- Good understanding of security operations workflows and tools
- Knowledge of DDoS defense architectures and countermeasures
- Prior experience with products or architectures of major public cloud operators, such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS
