Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Security Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with VPNs, firewalls, cloud security, malware prevention, and various threat detection techniques. You will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization’s information assets by identifying, mitigating, and preventing security risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Security Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain VPNs, firewalls, and other security infrastructure to ensure robust perimeter defenses.
- Cloud Security: Implement and manage security measures for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
- Threat Detection & Response: Identify, analyze, and respond to security threats, including malware, ransomware, spyware, and other vulnerabilities.
- Penetration Testing: Conduct regular penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and provide actionable insights to improve security posture.
- Incident Management: Investigate, manage, and document security incidents, performing root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
- Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor security systems, identify anomalies, and fine-tune alerting mechanisms to reduce false positives.
- Collaboration & Compliance: Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT security role.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with VPN and firewall configurations (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of malware, ransomware, and spyware detection and prevention tools
- Skilled in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit, Wireshark)
- Certifications (preferred): CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar certifications.
