- The Senior System Engineer/Team Lead performs a variety of system and network engineering tasks, either independently or under supervision by the COR, which are broad in nature and are concerned with the design and implementation of integrated network services, including personnel, hardware, software, and support facilities and/or equipment.
- The Senior System Engineer is also responsible for a full spectrum of system administration tasks for which includes user and server support as stated in the SOW.
- In addition, the Senior System Engineer supervises and manages the team through project completion.
- Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 6+ years of relevant experience as a Team Lead/Senior Network/System Engineer, or ten years of IT-related professional experience, including 6+ years of relevant experience as a Team Lead/Senior System/Network Engineer.
- The Senior System Engineer should have relevant experience with Windows Servers (currently 2016) or, Red Hat Linux/Oracle Linux, Active Directory, and various hardware platforms, including Oracle/Sun, Dell, Cisco and HP. Experience in configuring and managing storage solutions including virtualized server environments.
- It is preferred for the Senior System Engineer to possess Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS).
