The AI Infrastructure & Cloud Security (ACS) team is looking for a Security Engineer to help protect Microsoft products.
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about protecting large-scale cloud and hybrid resources. Our work is crucial to advancing Edge and Platform, and AI development, ensuring Microsoft delivers secure products to our customers.
In this role as a Secuirty Engineer, you will be a key player in protecting some of Microsoft’s most critical assets. You'll help design innovative automation and tooling solutions using AI/ML and other state-of-the-art technologies to stay ahead of cyber threats. Responsibilities
- Write code that focuses on security, quality, maintainability, and scalability.
- Partner with other security engineers to build next generation automation and monitoring solutions.
- Partner with our offensive security team to understand the latest threats and help build mitigation via automation.
- Utilize DevSecOps methods to design code, test, deploy, and operate security tooling and monitoring solutions.
- Participate in threat model reviews and threat hunting activities.
- Participate in on-call rotation

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident response
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
- 2 years of experience with one or more of the following: Azure, AWS, GCP, or any other large cloud provider security best practices.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, and anomaly detection
- OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
- CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, and/or Security+ certification.
- 2 years of experience building secure cloud-scale infrastructure with code
- 2 years of experince with data query languages such as KQL or T-SQL
- Familiar one or more of the following: STRIDE, Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark(MCSB), MITRE Att&ck, FedRamp frameworks.
- Familiar with ML and AI technologies, custom model development, and prompt engineering
Security Operations Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
