Must Haves:
- 3-5 years of experience as an Cybersecurity Engineer
- Understanding of firewall policies and security protocols
- Experience working with Service Now ticketing system
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, cybersecurity or equivalent
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks to complete within established time frames
- Ability to learn and adapt to new or evolving technologies
- Possessing technical security certifications is a strong asset
- Ability to write and edit formal-technical documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication
Overview:
The Cybersecurity organization’s WAF and Firewall team is seeking skilled cybersecurity engineers to help address a backlog of external customer tickets concerning firewall policy change requests. Daily responsibilities include:
- Engineers will receive incoming requests via Service Now ticketing system. Request will specify what the customer believes is necessary to allow connectivity required
- Engineers will need to challenge request details as necessary to ensure that only the minimum required access is provided. Guidelines about best practices for rule structing will be provided.
- Engineers will then transfer requirements into a tool that will help format API commands required in order to grant access; engineers will execute commands against API, publish firewall policy updates and push policy to gateways.
Target pay rage for this role is between $40-46/hr. based on years of applicable experience.
