RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized Cybersecurity problems.
- Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to cybersecurity requirements.
- Analyzes information security requirements.
- Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning.
- Provides security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, integration of information systems.
- Support the development and integration of cybersecurity solutions within the overall project framework, ensuring full compliance with DoD standards.
- Conduct thorough security analysis and planning, incorporating cybersecurity solutions to address the unique requirements of the DLA FedMall modernization program.
- Coordinate and implement security measures to protect information against unauthorized access, modification, and destruction, ensuring compliance with DLA standards.
- Lead efforts in applying analytical and systematic approaches to resolve security-related workflow, organization, and planning issues.
- Provide proactive incident response and management, ensuring root causes are identified, documented, and communicated to the project management team.
- Deliver security engineering support for planning, designing, testing, demonstrating, and integrating information systems and electronic processes.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain system security plans and documentation to support cyber defense initiatives.
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of secure architectures, including the use of ArcSight ESM and Logger, HBSS Administration, and McAfee Network Security Platform Administration.
- Monitor and analyze network activity to identify potential cyber threats, leveraging tools such as ArcSight ESM, HBSS, and McAfee NSP for proactive detection.
- Lead the incident response team, performing forensic analysis, threat detection, and mitigation in alignment with CNDSP-IR certification standards.
- Provide support for weekly audit log review and ensure incident reports include detailed findings, resolutions, and lessons learned.
- Document and maintain technical solutions and cybersecurity measures in JIRA and Confluence, as required by task order guidelines.
- Create and update a comprehensive suite of cybersecurity documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP), STIGs, Risk/Issue/Opportunity Management Plans (RIOMP), Configuration Management documentation, and Incident Response Plans.
- Develop training materials and job aids to support cybersecurity practices across the project and assist in end-user training for cybersecurity awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
- Seven (7) years of relevant IT experience
- Certifications:
- Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570.01 IAM level III
- Computing Environment (One of the following):
- ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) 5.0 Security Analyst
- ArcSight Logger 5.0 Administration and Operation
- HBSS Administrator
- HBSS Advanced
- McAfee Network Security Platform Administration
- Clearance: Must possess a Secret with IT-II eligibility
