We are seeking an IT Technician to join our team! In this role, you will provide first-level support to our clients. You will serve as the first point of contact for users facing technical problems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer systems, a passion for technology, and exceptional problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to help desk requests via phone, email, and ticketing system, ensuring courteous, timely, and effective resolution of end-user issues
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, guiding users through step-by-step solutions
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams or external vendors
- Conduct daily system checks and maintenance routines to ensure optimal system performance
- Execute sensitive data backup and restoration procedures
- Assist with the creation and updating of help desk documentation, procedures, and user manuals
Qualifications:
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Related certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCITP) are a plus
- Strong technical skills in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, networking, and remote desktop support
- Must be comfortable interacting with non-technical customers
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- An eager willingness to learn
- Must be available to work in person at the BCS offices in Kilgore, TX
