Job Summary
This position is not a remote; however, it is hybrid. The employee will have the ability to work out of the Dallas, TX, or Temple, TX, office. This is a staff level position that will typically work under the guidance of a Senior or Manager level position.
The IT Auditor is responsible for evaluating and enhancing the information technology systems and controls to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. This role involves assessing IT processes, identifying risks related to patient data and healthcare operations, and providing actionable recommendations to improve the organization’s IT governance and security posture.
Essential Functions Of The Role
- Objectively evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the information systems' internal controls surrounding the activities of all departments and entities.
- Assist Management in developing and implementing value-added enhancements to existing systems and processes.
- Assist the Internal Audit Management in identifying potential areas of risk in the Information Services (IS) domain, such as cybersecurity threats, data breaches, and compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- Prepare detailed audit reports that clearly outline findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.
