Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Security Analyst, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The IT Security/Compliance Analyst 1 reports to the Manager of Security, Risk and Compliance and is expected to be fully aligned with the company's security goals as established by our policies, procedures and guidelines and to actively work toward upholding and implementing strategies that meet these goals. This position typically works with a medium level of supervision.
What You Will Be Doing - Research and stay abreast of all local, national laws and regulations as it related to record retention and information security requirements
- Identify security vulnerabilities and threat vectors, and identify/monitor/manage solution implementation
- Assist with audit deficiency remediation
- Assist with Data Loss Prevention
- Performs daily cadence of monitoring, reacting and triaging malicious events utilizing Sentinel One XDR
- Provide IT investigative and forensic support
- Review reporting phishing messages, and assist in maintaining ProofPoint Environment
- Ability to be a member of an oncall team
- Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing IT solutions to improve overall enterprise security
- Provides project updates to IT Security Manager and during monthly project status meetings
- Act as a resource to other IT departments and Woodward members seeking security-related advice and/or information
- Participate in external/internal penetration testing, including the remediation and follow-up action plans
- Assist in IT security incident management activities
What We Are Looking For - US – Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) required
- 2-5 years Experience in information technology or BS/BA or Master's degree in the field of computer science required
- Some knowledge related to HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOX, NIST, DFARS, ITAR and GDPR compliance
- Some technical knowledge in three or more of the following areas: McAfee's Enterprise Security Suite, Windows Operating Systems, Linux, AIX, Internet technologies, Networking technologies, Load Balancers, Encryption technologies
- Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required
