Tier 1/2 Systems Administrator

CompTIA Security+ Certification

This position is 100% on-site at Fort Meade, Md.

Hours are 5am to 1pm, Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support.
Provide technical support via phone calls, tickets, and direct customer interaction.
Troubleshoot customer desktop hardware and application issues.
Create and maintain user accounts.
Assist customers with application configurations.
Work directly with vendor support where needed.

Qualifications:

Prior experience working help desk tickets: engage customer, investigate issues, and communicate status and resolution to the customer.
Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate well (written and verbal), solve problems, think critically, adapt, be flexible, manage time, and prioritize tasks.
Experience with ticketing applications such as Remedy or SolarWinds Web Help Desk.
Experience with Microsoft Windows

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Active Directory Users and Computers
Basic network configuration and troubleshooting skills
User accounts: How to manage user accounts and permissions
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) experience

Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 3 to 5 years of relevant technical experience.
