Akkodis has an exciting client that is looking to hire a skilled Operational Technology (OT) Security Engineer. In this job, you will help spearhead their security posture for Operational Technology. In this role, you will help establish security measures for things like prevention, detection and analysis. We are seeking someone with a strong IT security background and a background in a manufacturing including familiarity with things like Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, or other OT devices.
Our client is a large global manufacturing company and is hiring for this brand new role on their team.
This is a full-time role with our client and can be mostly remote with periodic on-site visits to their location is West Michigan. Target salary range for this role will depend on experience but we are targeting $80,000 - $110,000. OT Security Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a first responder to security events within the OT environment and coordinate with the greater organization to resolve cyber threats.
- Provide timely detection and identification of possible attacks/intrusions and distinguish findings from benign activities.
- Correlate incident data to identify specific vulnerabilities and make recommendations that enable prompt containment and remediation.
- Collaborate closely with information technology, engineering, and manufacturing support teams to integrate cybersecurity controls into the OT environment and processes.
OT Security Engineer Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or information technology.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, or other OT devices.
- Experience with scripting language such as Python, PowerShell, or VBA.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field
- One or more technical or cybersecurity certification preferred (e.g., CISA, CCSP, CRISC, CEH, Security+, GSEC, SSCP)
Location: Remote, US - Periodic visits to West Michigan
Compensation Range: $80,000 - $110,000
