Job Description
Almanax is seeking someone to join our team either remotely or in person in NYC to help us build our dataset of secure and vulnerable blockchain code. The ideal candidate will have a background in application security and experience either reading or writing blockchain smart contracts. As a security researcher, you will you will work directly with the CEO and CTO to play a crucial role in developing AI solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Curate examples of safe and vulnerable smart contract code
- Label datasets with vulnerability severity, type, and descriptions
- Evaluate security findings for correctness and accuracy
- Work on a day-to-day basis with Almanax founders
Requirements
- Background in application security, ideally with hands on work experience
- Prior experience with smart contract security audits and vulnerability research
- Strong programming ability or proficiency with reading and writing code
- Able to work in the US in-person out of our NYC office
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid understanding of blockchain architecture, best practices, and tooling
- Familiarity of historical blockchain security incidents and their root causes
- History or interest in hacking, cybersecurity, crypto/web3, or ML/AI
