DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This Administrative Officer 2 position is a Security Specialist responsible for maintaining and federating the Genetec Security Center and the processes that support it. Work will involve analyzing, organizing, planning, assigning, and evaluating processes in keeping with the standards of county and state regulations as they pertain to security measures. The incumbent will be enforcing security policies and procedures, under the direction of Administrative Officer 3, and overseeing the day-to-day security operations of all Allegheny County DHS offices. This includes but is not limited to security planning and assessment for nine or more DHS locations and buildings; collaborating with Human Resources, Program Offices, and Facilities Management staff; and reviewing, analyzing, and developing procedures for safety standards across all DHS sites and locations for presentation to the Administrative Office 3 for implementation.
This position also manages security system access rules for all cameras in each DHS location in addition to creating and issuing badges for new hires and visitors. This includes overseeing and updating the Staffmap system and maintaining up-to-date floorplans, seating charts, parking lot maps, and similar documents. You will also be expected to monitor and maintain the Visitor Management System. Other responsibilities include security audits, monitoring, and reporting. This position acts as the primary liaison with the contracted security vendors and with Allegheny County Guards and management, assists with security contract negotiations, and participates in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Additionally, you will work with other Facilities Management staff to identify building hazards in all DHS-occupied offices and locations and perform additional job-related tasks as necessary. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 60-minute lunch, Monday- Friday. Scheduled hours can vary depending on the needs of the regional offices.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 1; or
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
