ABOC is hiring a Network Engineer. We are looking for a talented Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of our network systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including Juniper routers, switches, SASE, WLAN, and firewalls.
- Configure and manage LAN/WAN networks and network devices.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and configuration files.
- Ensure network security through best practices, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular backups, updates, and patches on network devices.
- Partner with Information Security to select, deploy and maintain security tooling.
- Implement and maintain proactive security controls to mitigate cyber threats.
- Respond to security incidents and participate in incident response procedures.
- Stay informed on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Participate in on-call support and incident response activities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Experience with network security practices and tools.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Juniper) are a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
- Experience with cloud networking solutions and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of network management systems and performance monitoring tools.
