Basic Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship Obtain & maintain Top Secret Security clearance This is designated Drug Testing Position (if applicable) Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable) This position supports the Lantern (formerly the Hanscom Collaboration and Innovation Center [HCIC]), Enterprise IT and Cyber Infrastructure Division, PEO Cyber & Networks Directorate (AFLCMC/HNI). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Lantern Information Protection (IP) Collateral Lead and Special Security Representative (SSR) for the facility covering all IP duties for multiple controlled areas and customers. This position will serve as the technical expert for multiple specialized information protection and acquisition security programs, supporting major DoD, USAF, and other Federal Agencies, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) classified and highly sensitive defense acquisition programs to include Information Security, Industrial Security, Physical Security, Operations Security, Communication Security, and Personnel Security. Incumbents will work in a Special Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Duties for this position include: Administers the physical, information, industrial, personnel, and operations security programs as applied to assigned activities/systems. Identifies and validates mission security needs through evaluation or development of security elements of applicable program. Plans, organizes, and directs the security activities of assigned programs at contractor and government locations ensuring that all elements of protection comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs throughout the program. Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various Center organizations as well as government customers and contracted organizations. This is not a telework position. This position requires 5 days a week on-site support and may include after hours and weekend support on a case-by-case basis. Key Roles: Plans, organizes, and directs SCIF/collateral controlled area activities for assigned mission partners/activities facilities and acquisition program systems, that supports SCI/collateral material, at contractor and other government locations. This includes but not limited to: Manages and assists with maintaining/obtaining space accreditation for the Lantern and/or other SCIF(s) within its purview of roles and responsibilities. Maintains and controls access to all SCI/collateral controlled areas and response to alarms on a 24/7 basis. Maintains and controls the Close-Circuit Television Monitoring System, and Anti-terrorism/Force Protection requirement for the facility. Oversees a small staff of security specialist support contractors, provides training, guidance and support to all customers utilizing the facility. Coordinates and supports Secure Video Teleconferencing for Lantern business partners, distinguish visitors, AFLCMC/HNI Leadership and AFLCMC/HN Leadership throughout the year. Ensuring that all elements of protection comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs throughout the program. This position is indexed for Security Professional Education and Development (SPeD) certifications.
