Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud security, particularly within Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security measures that protect our cloud infrastructure and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Security Architecture & Design:
- Develop and implement security best practices for AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Design secure cloud architectures using AWS services like IAM, VPC, KMS, WAF, and others.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud security technologies and solutions.
- Security Operations:
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts within AWS environments.
- Perform regular security assessments, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
- Implement and manage security automation tools and scripts.
- Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Maintain security documentation and assist in audits and assessments.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Collaboration & Training:
- Work closely with DevOps, IT, and development teams to ensure secure software development practices.
- Provide training and guidance on AWS security best practices to other team members.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience with AWS security services, including IAM, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, AWS Config, and others.
- Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with security monitoring and incident response tools.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
- Certifications:
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty (preferred).
- CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security certifications (a plus).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
