About the Role:
As a Senior Cloud Architect at Sesheng, you will play a pivotal role in designing, architecting, and implementing robust and scalable data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, with a strong focus on Azure Databricks. You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that drive business value.
Responsibilities:
- Architecture Design: Design and implement complex data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines.
- Define data governance policies and standards.
- Develop data security and privacy strategies.
- Azure Databricks Expertise: Leverage Azure Databricks to build and optimize data pipelines, data ingestion, and data processing workflows.
- Implement data engineering best practices, including data quality, lineage, and monitoring.
- Utilize advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning and AI, to extract insights from data.
- Cloud Technologies: Design and implement cloud-native solutions on Azure, including compute, storage, and networking services.
- Optimize cloud costs and performance.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud-based solutions.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Proactively anticipate and mitigate potential risks.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data science.
- 5+ years of experience with Azure Databricks.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala.
- Experience with data ingestion tools ( Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics).
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques (Kimball, Inmon).
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts and Azure services.
- Experience with data security and privacy best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications (Azure Data Engineer, Azure AI Engineer).
- Experience with machine learning and AI frameworks (MLflow, PySpark).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps, Git).
