Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of IT Audit to lead and manage our IT audit function. This role involves overseeing all IT audit activities, developing risk-based audit plans, and working closely with executive management to ensure the effectiveness of IT systems, controls, and processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT auditing within a large organization, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Audit Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive, risk-based IT audit plan, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Audit Execution: Oversee all stages of IT audits, including planning, execution, and reporting, while ensuring timely and thorough risk assessments.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the IT audit team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership, IT, and compliance teams to identify key risks, recommend improvements, and monitor follow-up on audit findings.
- Reporting: Prepare clear, concise reports for executive management and the board, presenting audit findings, risks, and recommendations to improve IT processes, controls, and security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or related field (CISA, CIA, or CISSP certification preferred).
- 10+ years of IT audit experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of IT controls, cybersecurity, regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and risk management frameworks.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams.
