Description:
Our client has an immediate need for a Network Engineer, who is responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting an organization’s systems or a segment of a network systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Active CCNA or CCNP certification preferred - any F5 certification is preferred
- 3+ years of experience
- Working knowledge of Cisco Routers: Hardware & software
- WAN links such as MPLS, GigE, and broadband
- Layer 2 protocols such as Vlans, Spanning Tree
- Layer 3 routing protocols such as eigrp, bgp, ospf
- TCP/IP and related protocols
- Working knowledge of network packet capture tools such as Wireshark, WildPackets, etc.
- ITIL Foundations or experience with concepts such as Request, Incident, Problem and Change
- Ability to utilize network packet capture to diagnose network communication anomalies and disruptions
- Working knowledge of DNS administration (preferred - Bluecat DNS product experience)
- Any work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a plus
- Scripting experience is a plus
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, and Ansible is a plus
- Troubleshooting complex enterprise environments
- F5 administration
Responsibilities:
- Support/troubleshooting and assisting projects with issues related to that
- Network troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Supporting technology infrastructure for critical applications
- Utilizing capture to determine communication anomalies and isolate
