A day in the life of a Cyber Security Architect at VF looks a little like this.
The Cyber Security Architect candidate will be a self-starter who is willing to take initiative. This position requires working with security, infrastructure, operational, and DevOps teams on the evaluation, design, and implementation of security technologies. This position requires someone who has multifaceted skill sets and can work with teams across the organization to propose and document security architectures. This person will need to be able to provide clear written/verbal communications to management, security, and operational teams regarding proposed security designs. The Cyber Security Architect will be a primary contributor in the architecture and design of solutions for a global security infrastructure.

Cyber Security Architect responsibilities:
- Evaluate, design, plan and implement aspects of a global security platform to include data center and cloud systems
- Participate in multi-discipline design teams to provide solutions to meet security requirement and business needs
- Update policy and standards documents as requested
- This position requires a broad range of familiarity with principles, theories, concepts, and technologies as well as applied knowledge of established procedures, policies, and practices
- Assess the effectiveness of existing security controls and provide recommendations
- Develops report of recommendations for customer remediation to fill identified gaps in security
- Architect operationally feasible and cost-effective solutions to reduce risk, as appropriate
- Present design recommendations to management as well as technical resources
- Evaluate public cloud configurations from a security perspective and present recommendations for remediation
- Ensure proposed designs meet all relevant regional security requirements.
- Participate in project design and implementation reviews to ensure security requirements are met and give guidance
- Assist with automation of security remediation in cloud and data center environments
What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 7+ years of experience and professional achievements.
Requirements: Cyber Security Architect Qualifications:
- 7+ years Information Security compliance, security engineering and architecture experience.
- Experience with security configuration and design in AWS and Azure
- Knowledge of relevant CIS security controls for cloud and data center
- Experience with network security and firewall technologies
- Knowledge of security architecture design principles in a global organization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to present architectural concepts with clear documentation
- Preferred experience with DevOps automation tools (ie. Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform) is a plus

Hiring Range:
$132,000.00 USD - $165,000.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
