We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Help Desk Technician to provide technical support to end-users in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware, software, and level-one network-related issues and offer solutions to enhance the overall IT efficiency of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in person
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems
- Install, configure, and upgrade software and hardware (e.g., printers, operating systems, antivirus programs)
- Provide timely and accurate feedback to end-users
- Assist with onboarding new employees, setting up new user accounts, and configuring devices
- Guide users through step-by-step problem-solving processes
- Maintain technical documentation and service records
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams (e.g., system administrators, network engineers)
- Manage and monitor internal IT assets and inventory
- Maintain and update knowledge of current IT trends and technologies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred)
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent certification (preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a help desk or technical support rol
- Experience with Windows, macOS, or Linux-based operating system
- Familiarity with remote desktop tools and help desk ticketing software (e.g., Zendesk, Jira, ServiceNow
- Knowledge of basic networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and VPN troubleshooting)
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principle
- Ability to set up and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripheral
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (not common, but if necessary)
- Physical ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs.)
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
Annual salary starting at $75,000.
