HoHo is a restaurant discovery brand. We’re disrupting the industry with our game-changing product and culturally driven creative community and are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join us in building the next iteration of HoHo customer facing technology platforms. This role will be the lead in-house developer for all customer facing mobile technologies.

Role Description

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the entire software development life cycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field
5+ years of work experience in software development
Experience in Back-End App Development, Front-End Development, and Full-Stack Development
Proficiency in Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
Strong knowledge of software development principles and best practices
Experience with databases and server-side languages
Explore and select appropriate tools and models for each problem, including using deep learning, LLMs, Transformers, NLP, and ML models.
Architect and implement solutions adhering to modern software design principles, ensuring best practices in AI architecture, CI/CD, and MLOps.
Experience with Flutter or similar
Experience with GPT/AI integration
Experience using at least one of the following JavaScript frameworks: React, Vue.js, Angular
Proficiency with Git, JavaScript, and Node.js
Familiarity with TypeScript
Excellent programming skills in at least one Object Oriented Language
Experience with design patterns, development and maintenance of functional, regression, integration and, automated end-to-end tests

Compensation

Compensation is based on equity basis.
Equity given is 2.5% with 1 year of cliff 4 year vesting
