HoHo is a restaurant discovery brand. We’re disrupting the industry with our game-changing product and culturally driven creative community and are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join us in building the next iteration of HoHo customer facing technology platforms. This role will be the lead in-house developer for all customer facing mobile technologies.
Role Description
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the entire software development life cycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
Qualifications
- BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field
- 5+ years of work experience in software development
- Experience in Back-End App Development, Front-End Development, and Full-Stack Development
- Proficiency in Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
- Strong knowledge of software development principles and best practices
- Experience with databases and server-side languages
- Explore and select appropriate tools and models for each problem, including using deep learning, LLMs, Transformers, NLP, and ML models.
- Architect and implement solutions adhering to modern software design principles, ensuring best practices in AI architecture, CI/CD, and MLOps.
- Experience with Flutter or similar
- Experience with GPT/AI integration
- Experience using at least one of the following JavaScript frameworks: React, Vue.js, Angular
- Proficiency with Git, JavaScript, and Node.js
- Familiarity with TypeScript
- Excellent programming skills in at least one Object Oriented Language
- Experience with design patterns, development and maintenance of functional, regression, integration and, automated end-to-end tests

Compensation
- Compensation is based on equity basis.
- Equity given is 2.5% with 1 year of cliff 4 year vesting
