Job Summary

Administrator of Network Operations, IT Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Building Security and IT Asset Management is responsible for installing, maintaining, and configuring various server hardware, server roles, network equipment, cybersecurity solutions and IT asset management. This position also provides tier 2 technical support to the user base, ensures the continuity and security of the IT infrastructure and works closely with the IT Director and other IT staff to implement and improve IT policies and procedures.

Job Duties Server hardware

Install, maintain, and service server hardware
Monitor server performance and availability
Troubleshoot and resolve server issues

Server roles (Windows Server versions 2019 & 2022)

Maintain and configure Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, File Server, Remote Desktop Services, Hyper-V, and Hyper-V Failover Clustering
Manage and update server software and patches
Backup and restore server data and settings

Storage Area Network

Monitor and maintain SAN appliances
Monitor and maintain replication services
Optimize SAN performance and capacity

Network equipment

Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, and remote access appliances (Sonicwall brand exclusively)
Monitor and secure network traffic and devices
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues

Disaster recovery

Maintain current backup solutions
Perform disaster simulation and test failovers
Evaluate current solution and recommend solutions based on gaps

Cybersecurity

Monitor current solutions and remediate events (ThreatLocker, Sentinel One, Breach Now, Connect Secure, Proofpoint, Ironscales)
Monitor and report user access to data
Evaluate Data Loss Prevention policies and recommend solutions based on gaps
Evaluate current solutions and recommend solutions based on gaps
Develop and maintain user authentication protocols

Technical support

Provide tier 2 support to user base for a wide variety of computer or software issues
Escalate complex issues to the IT manager or external vendors
Document and update support tickets and knowledge base

IT Asset Management

Maintains cloud-based asset management system
Verifies remote user equipment is returned to inventory
Performs periodic audits field inventory and evaluates asset condition

Job Requirements

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience in server and network administration
A strong knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper-V, SAN, Sonicwall, and cybersecurity solutions
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication and customer service skills
An ability to work independently and as part of a team
An ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
Certifications in Microsoft, Sonicwall, or cybersecurity are preferred
