Position: “Senior Architect - Application Modernization”
Job Description
Client is seeking an experienced Application Modernization Architect to be a part of our innovative team. This role is integral to the development and execution of application modernization using Cloud native and advanced AI/ML solutions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead expert on system design process for application modernization projects.
- Provide direction, guidance, definition, evaluation, and facilitation for the development of current and future architecture.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement comprehensive and scalable architectural designs that align with business objectives.
- Architect and implement solutions that leverage modern technologies and frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership in migrating legacy applications to contemporary architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system designs meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
- Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and advise team on implementable solutions.
- Provide advice and guidance to team leads regarding technical and design decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10+ years of proven experience as an Application Modernization Architect.
- Experience/Knowledge (5+ years) of implementing solutions for health industry and familiarity with standards and best practices.
- Experience/Knowledge of federal government industry is a plus.
- Leadership and agile project management experience using Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence tools.
- Expertise in system design, architecture, and modern application development processes.
- Experience migrating and modernizing legacy applications to cloud-native architectures.
- Experience and deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, applications, and trends.
- Advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure, software application, and design.
- Experience using Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, or other major cloud computing services.
- Strong cloud migration and data management skills with an emphasis on data privacy and security.
- Experience with AI/ML/LLM tools and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

- Required - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional,
- Nice to have - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Technical Architect Certifications

- Refined presentation and communication skills and the ability to interface and communicate effectively with both engineers and executives.
