Title: Network Administrator
Location: Daytona Beach, FL- Onsite
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Compensation: $35-$40/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US
We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our client's IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure, focusing on Microsoft systems, Cisco Meraki routers, and Fortinet firewalls. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network administration, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco Meraki routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Implement and manage Fortinet firewalls, including configuring VPNs, security policies, and intrusion prevention systems.
- Monitor network security and respond to potential threats.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Perform routine maintenance on network hardware and software.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Monitor network performance and implement measures to optimize efficiency and reliability.
- Analyze network traffic patterns to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure.
- Ensure regular backups of critical network configurations and data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Cisco Meraki Certified Network Associate, Fortinet NSE) are a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Experience managing Fortinet firewalls and security appliances.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing VPNs, VLANs, and network security.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
