Work - 5 month Contract to Hire

Job Requirements

A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology
A strong understanding of network protocols and concepts sufficient to monitor and manage network services in a Cisco environment
The ability to manage Cisco layer 3 switches, Palo Alto firewalls, layer 2 edge switches, VPNs, and wireless access points
A solid understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP network stack, troubleshooting techniques, and the ability to capture and analyze network traffic
The ability to act as a domain admin and install, manage, administer, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows servers and server roles, administration of Active Directory & AD Group Policies, DNS & DHCP administration
The ability to manage and administer a clustered VMWare ESXi enterprise environment
An understanding of structured low-voltage data wiring and the ability to install and modify network closets

Desired Qualifications

Cyber security background/certifications; PCCSA (Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate)
Professional certifications (e.g. CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), VCP (VMware Certified Professional)
Experience in the administration of an enterprise VOIP phone system
Knowledge of layer 3 routing protocols and IPv6
5 years of experience with enterprise network infrastructure design, implementation, and support concepts sufficient to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot a Palo Alto, Cisco, Microsoft, and VMware network
