Job Summary:
As a Remote System Administrator at ThalesRaytheonSystems, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security. You will work closely with our IT team to support the company's operations and provide technical assistance to end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IT procedures and configurations.
- Collaborate with the IT team to plan and implement new IT projects and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with network protocols, firewall management, and security best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are a plus.
