Location: Remote with expected online hours being EST 9:00AM to 5:00PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Managed Device Engineer / Administrator to join our team within a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. This role is critical for ensuring that our organization’s devices meet compliance and security standards while providing the flexibility and functionality needed by our executive team. The ideal candidate will be a lead technical resource within our deskside engineering team, contributing their expertise in endpoint management, security, and automated patching. Experience and skills in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) are essential for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement and manage BYOD solutions for executive phones and tablets, ensuring devices are compliant with security and policy standards.
• Collaborate with security engineering and architecture teams to create and implement policies and patterns for device management.
• Manage and deploy Intune policies, ensuring seamless device enrollment, compliance, and remediation.
• Conduct device resets and reconfiguration, including removing Intune and policies from managed devices while retaining essential applications like Teams and Office.
• Utilize Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats.
• Build and assist in software deployments based on approved security patterns.
• Work closely with leads from other teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive policy implementation.
• Remediate and troubleshoot device management issues and provide solutions to improve device security and compliance.
• Utilize Microsoft Windows Defender for Endpoint to enhance device security measures.
• Utilize additional tools such as Qualys, Azure Purview, and Darktrace for enhanced device and network security.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in managing BYOD programs and device management within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Intune and EDR tools.
• Proficiency in automated patching and software deployment.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead technical initiatives.
• Familiarity with security compliance standards and best practices.
• Experience with Qualys, Azure Purview, and Darktrace.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
