Interchecks started with 1099 vendor payments and jumped on the opportunity to support real-time payments for gaming operators with the legalization of online gaming in 2018. Many existing payout solutions are narrow, verticalized, and inflexible. Interchecks set out to provide a more flexible, comprehensive platform for payment processing that includes important compliance capabilities necessary to serve regulated industries like gaming. We’ve also been able to take our gaming playbook and replicate it across different fintech companies.
We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will integrate security practices within our DevOps processes, ensure PCI compliance, manage AWS infrastructure, and provide IT support. This role combines development, security, and operations to enhance the overall security and efficiency of our IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and manage security measures to protect cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance.
- Conduct regular security assessments, scans and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities for end user devices and AWS infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats from multiple sources such as Cloudflare, AWS WAF, Datadog and similar tools and services.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure all security and compliance requirements are met.
- Manage 3rd party services like Tenable, SNYK, Qualys, AWS Security Hub.
AWS Management:
- Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure using best practices for security, scalability, and reliability.
- Utilize AWS services such as WAF, Security Hub, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, and others.
- Manage IAM roles and policies to ensure proper access control and least privilege.
- Implement and manage network security, including VPCs, security groups, and NACLs.
DevOps Duties:
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment processes.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle).
IT Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for end users including MDM and end user device management.
- Assist in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, inventory, including servers, networks, and workstations.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
- Support end-user IT requests and incidents.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field encouraged
- 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or related roles.
- Proven experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
- Experience with PCI DSS compliance and security best practices.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AWS services (WAF, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of security practices and tools (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, etc.).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
- Experience with configuration management tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
- Experience with Cloudflare, Nessus, Tenable/Qualys, Datadog
- Familiarity with Linux, Docker, virtualization, containers and related security hardening methods.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable with authoring PCI/DSS policies and controls.
Certifications (preferred but not required):
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
