Cyber Risk Analyst for a
CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier
Financial Regulatory clients in
Remote. .
The main function of a Cyber Risk Analyst is to support the management of cyber risk through identification, analysis, and documentation of cyber risks, and the evaluation of risk response efforts.
Responsibilities :
- Participates in the identification, analysis, and documentation of cyber risks
- Evaluates the appropriateness of risk response associated action plans including acceptance, avoidance, mitigation, remediation, sharing, and/or transfer
- Gathers information and performs relevant research
- Provides support for IT cyber risk, service level, and/or performance metric reporting requirements
- Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with peers both within and outside of Technology, and maintain them over time.
- Contribute to the establishment, evolution and continued compliance with standard practices and processes.
- Assist with adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls.
- Ensure all work products meets /exceeds FINRA standards and risks are effectively managed.
- Acquires and applies foundational knowledge of the business, its products, and processes
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Management of Information Systems, or Computer Information Sciences
- Information security certification(s) such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSK, or CCSP
- 3+ years experience
- Foundational knowledge of risk management principles and relevant industry frameworks such as NIST 800-30, 800-53, 800-171, and CSF; and/or ISO 31000
- Demonstrated expertise with multiple Windows, Mac OS, Unix-based operating systems
- Thorough understanding of protocols, network topologies, and security controls
- Intermediate knowledge of GRC and data analysis tools – AuditBoard preferred.
- Experience in a rapid paced, time-sensitive, highly collaborative, and geographically diverse environment
- Ability to consider problems in an analytical manner
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to effectively communicate solutions
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Foundational knowledge of project management tools such as Microsoft Project and JIRA.
