Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Location: Fairfax, Virginia (Onsite)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to design and maintain secure and scalable cloud solutions.
- Manage cloud environments, including Accounts/Subscriptions, virtual networking, virtual computing, enterprise applications, and storage accounts.
- Enforce governance standards and manage access control policies, leveraging Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC) and the Least Privilege Necessary security models.
- Deploy enterprise-scale Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Azure BICEP, ARM, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Work with Cybersecurity Engineers to develop and implement security controls across hybrid-cloud architectures.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and provide technical troubleshooting and guidance to ensure smooth operations.
- Support cloud cost management and monitor resource utilization to optimize expenditures.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Experience with cloud identity and authentication mechanisms such as Multi-factor Authentication, SAML, and OAuth 2.0.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) technologies (Azure BICEP, ARM, Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of hierarchical management structures in cloud environments and policy-based management.
- Hands-on experience with virtual networking, cloud computing, and enterprise-scale applications.
- Experience with cloud cost management and resource monitoring.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure and Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
- On-premise Active Directory experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Defender for Cloud or other security solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a hybrid-cloud architecture.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience working with public sector organizations or government entities.
